10 Christian Women Craft Night Ideas Part 1
Oct 31, 2026

You have a date on the calendar and women coming through the door. Now you need something meaningful to do together—something that welcomes the woman who loves paper crafting and the friend who says she is not creative. A Christian women craft night can begin with a Bible passage, a few simple supplies, and space to enjoy being together.
If you lead a women’s ministry, host a small group, or gather friends around your kitchen table, you do not need to plan an elaborate event. Choose one activity your group can finish that evening. Let the Scripture shape the conversation, and give everyone permission to make her page, card, or keepsake her own. The finished pieces will look different. That is part of the enjoyment. As you explore this blog, consider further exploring our website at www.youministries.com or come check out our various bible study opportunities in our Facebook Group: Girl, Read Your Bible.

Christian women craft night supplies with a Bible, Scripture printables, scissors, and journals
Below are ten ways to bring Bible study and creativity together, using resources from YOU Ministries. Several have a free starting option; others use a purchased kit. You will find ideas for a single gathering, seasonal evenings, and groups that want to meet regularly. We will also walk through a simple schedule and the supplies worth preparing ahead. Choose the activity that fits your women, your budget, and the time you have. You can start small and build from there.

How to Plan a Christian Women Craft Night
A welcoming night begins with a manageable project. Choose one theme and one finished piece. A woman should be able to leave with a decorated Bible page, a Scripture card, or the beginning of a journal she knows how to continue.
For a journaling club, craft club, or Bible study group, YOU Ministries’ full YouTube lessons generally run about 30–45 minutes. Women can listen while they cut, arrange, and glue their printable images. Teaching and crafting happen together, so you do not need to schedule a full lesson followed by a second lengthy activity.
Use ESV for the Scripture readings throughout these activities.
A Simple 90 Minute Gathering
- Welcome — 15 minutes: greet everyone, settle in, and introduce the supplies.
- Scripture introduction — 10 minutes: read the key passage and explain the activity.
- Teaching and crafting — 45 minutes: play the selected lesson while women create, or use this time for Scripture reflection and a craft without a video.
- Sharing — 15 minutes: invite women to show their work or share a takeaway.
- Prayer — 5 minutes: thank God for what you have studied and pray for one another.
Check the selected video before the gathering. A short preview can introduce a topic, but it does not replace a full lesson. Give your group a little flexibility if beginners need more finishing time.
Ten Craft Night Ideas to Try
1. Women of the Bible Journaling Night
Choose a woman from Scripture and spend the evening learning her story. Eve is one example from the 52 Women of the Bible series, but your host can choose another woman whose story speaks to the group. For Eve, begin with Genesis 2:18–25 and Genesis 3:1–21. Consider what these passages reveal about God’s design, the consequences of disobedience, and His care after the Fall.
Women can decorate a notebook page or the corresponding Bible passage with the study’s printable images while listening to the lesson. Leave space to write a Scripture reference and a short reflection. Invite each person to share one thing the text helped her notice about God. Keep personal sharing optional and the conversation grounded in Scripture.
Resource: Choose your Women of the Bible lesson—Eve is our example (YouTube lesson)—and open its YouTube description box for the corresponding free printable link. For more creative elements, browse Women of the Bible printables on Etsy and look for the Eve study.
2. Micro Bible Journaling Night for Beginners
Make this a gentle introduction to the technique itself. A micro Bible is a small Bible used for compact creative journaling. Choose a short passage, find the reference printed on the resource, and cut out a few images that reflect its story.
Have each woman arrange her pieces before gluing them down. Pens, chalk, lace, or a few sequins can add personal touches. Keep the Scripture readable and use only a little adhesive on thin Bible paper. Test unfamiliar materials first. Someone who prefers to work outside her Bible can use a separate journal page.
Resource: Begin with Tammy’s beginner video series, where the other videos are listed below Video 1, and follow the page’s link to join the Micro Pod for free. For a specific study, choose its YouTube lesson and find the matching free printable link in the description box. Faith Pod is a separate paid membership at $5 per month.

3. Faith Dex Scripture Card Swap
Use the bundle of 12 different pre-designed Faith Dex card images for an evening of encouragement. For example, you could read 1 Thessalonians 5:11 together, then let each woman choose two designs. Print on cardstock and cut out the cards.
SCRIPTURE SPOTLIGHT
“"Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."”
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Write a chosen Scripture in the front design’s writing space and a reflection on the reverse. Women can use the designs in any way they choose based on supplies on hand. Make one finished card to keep and another to exchange if time permits. Sharing personal reflections is optional.

Resource: Download the free 12-design Faith Dex card bundle. Bring cardstock, scissors, pens, and glue. No separate embellishment printable is needed.
4. Scripture Treasure Hunt Night
Choose a Treasure Hunt YouTube lesson and use its description box to find the free printable created specifically for that episode. Each lesson has its own corresponding design. Listen while women cut out the images and decorate the selected Scripture page, then share a truth or detail they had not noticed before.
Keep the atmosphere cooperative. The point is to explore Scripture, not race to prove who knows the most. Use any instructions included with the resource; if you add a group question of your own, make it clear that it is your hosting activity.
Resource: Find the matching free printable in your selected YouTube lesson’s description box. You can also explore the free Treasure Hunt starter page and short Episode 1 video. Experienced journalers may enjoy the $5/month Faith Pod, where larger specialty printable bundles are available for an additional fee.
5. Count Your Blessings Gratitude Night
Gather around the simple practice of noticing God’s goodness. Psalm 107:1 is a fitting opening passage. Begin Day 1 of the Count Your Blessings challenge together, then invite each woman to write and decorate a gratitude page using her own paper and supplies.
Leave room for honest gratitude. Someone walking through a hard season may write about one small kindness or a person who helped her that week. She does not have to pretend everything is easy. The group completes a beginning together and continues the remaining challenge days at home.
Resource: Join the free Count Your Blessings 7-Day Mini Challenge. It provides structured daily lessons, encouragement, and bonus downloads revealed in the confirmation email. The decorated gratitude page is our suggested craft activity.
6. Christmas Scripture and Giving Planner Night
Bring a little intention to Christmas preparations. Begin with Luke 2:10–11, then use the free Christmas Planner to consider how your traditions and giving can point your family toward Jesus. The planner includes Bible verses and forms for ideas such as family traditions and 12 days of giving, among other pages.
Women can decorate their planner cover, choose a meaningful tradition, and begin a giving list. Encourage thoughtful gestures that fit each household’s circumstances. A note, a meal, or a quiet act of help may belong on the list alongside gifts. Keep this evening focused on beginning a useful plan.
Resource: Sign up for the free Christmas Planner. The sign-up provides an immediate document download and joins the YOU Ministries email list. Bring pens and optional decorations; a binder or folder can keep the pages together.

7. Genesis Character Study Night
Choose a Genesis character and build a page around what his or her story teaches. Adam is our example. The study explores creation, Eden, the Fall, and the connection between Adam and Jesus Christ. Read a selected passage from Genesis 2–3; Romans 5:17–19 can support the redemption connection.
Using the kit’s Scripture prompts and reflection space, each woman begins one study page. She can decorate it with the printable elements available to her and her own supplies. This is a focused character-study evening; finishing the whole kit is something she can continue later.
Resource: Use the paid Adam character-study printable, which includes guided reflections, Scripture prompts, and journaling space. Watch the corresponding Adam lesson. Choose another available Genesis character if it better suits your group.
8. What Is Your Story Testimony Journaling Night
Give women a quiet place to reflect on their salvation story. Begin with Psalm 66:16, then read the short What’s Your Story? blog and use its page of question prompts to begin writing about coming to faith and what God has done in their lives.
Decorate a page or cover to hold that story. The writing matters more than completing every question in one sitting. Make sharing voluntary, and invite women to share only what they feel comfortable discussing. Some may take their questions home and keep working privately.
Resource: Read the short What’s Your Story? blog with the accompanying question-prompt page . Bring paper or a journal, pens, and optional decorative supplies. Allow quiet writing time before any invitation to share.
9 Armor of God Journaling Night
Read Ephesians 6:10–18 together and keep God’s strength at the center of the evening. His armor gives this craft its meaning. Invite women to notice truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, readiness through the gospel of peace, and the Word of God as they work.
Use the floral armor images to decorate the passage or assemble a margin card. The coordinating woman-in-armor scene provides pieces women can arrange into their own composition. Choose a few pieces for a small Bible page, or use more on a separate card. Finish by discussing one part of the passage that encouraged the group.
Resource: Get the free Armor of God printable bundle. Supplies include the printable, a Bible or card base, scissors, glue, and pens. An Armor of God keychain is an optional favor, separate from the free printable.

10 Trusting the Gardener Journal Night
For a spring gathering, begin a garden-themed reflection on God’s redemptive work. John 15:1–5 offers a place to talk about abiding in Christ and the Father’s care. Then choose one devotional reflection from Trusting the Gardener and create one journal page or ephemera card.
The kit contains 30 unique ephemera cards and 30 assembled examples, so women have ideas to help them begin. Encourage them to personalize their work rather than match an example perfectly. This evening starts a 30-day journey that each participant can continue at home.
Resource: The $9 Trusting the Gardener digital kit includes a 30-day devotional journal, a bonus journaling page, and the ephemera collection. It is a digital download; no physical journal or book is shipped. Add printed pages, scissors, glue, and a binder or journal.
Supplies and Tips for a Smooth Evening
Put the chosen printable or kit first on your supply list. Then gather scissors, glue sticks or suitable tape, pens, and the Bible, cardstock, or journal the activity needs. Optional decorations can be shared from a small basket. You do not need to buy every embellishment mentioned here.
Print and try one sample before your gathering. Check the image size against the Bible page or card, and prepare a few pre-cut pieces for anyone who finds cutting difficult. Show one completed example so beginners know what they are working toward.
Ask each participant to obtain her resource through the appropriate sign-up or purchase route. Check the resource’s group-use terms before distributing copies. Keep paid study pages within their purchase permissions, and use approved previews when promoting the event.
Avoid three common frustrations: too many projects, too many supplies, and pressure to share. Give women time to work, keep the materials accessible, and let conversation develop naturally. Remind everyone that a meaningful reflection can live on a very simple page.
Optional Take Home Favors
A small favor can help women remember the evening, but it is optional. Choose one that fits the theme and your group’s budget. These physical items are available for sale at www.YOUMinistries.com on our Products and Services page. Here are some examples (there are many other items to choose from as well depending on your target audience) while supplies last, with shipping added:
- Armor of God keychain — An acrylic gold-and-black design with Ephesians 6:10–18.

- Bible Verse bracelet — Colorful, lightweight silicone bracelets with Bible verses. Bracelet selection is random.

- Emergency Bible Verse bookmark — Vintage-style bookmarks with Scripture references for different concerns.

- Gemstone cross necklace — A natural gemstone cross on an 18-inch necklace. Stone color is random.

Choose Your First Craft Night
You do not have to organize all ten ideas. Choose the one that fits your group this month, open the Scripture, and decide what each woman can finish during your time together. A free card activity can be a gentle beginning; a purchased journal kit may suit women who want to continue studying afterward.
The purpose is to make room for God’s Word and for one another. Welcome the experienced crafter and the woman picking up a glue stick for the first time. Give both a place at the table. As you share the passage, listen to the teaching, and create something personal, let the conversation grow from what you are learning together. Start with one night and see what your group would enjoy next.
