Restoration

Restoration

Restoring of life is one of the greatest and most important thing Jesus does. As you all know the Lord is the source of all life throughout the universe. He is the one and only reason we are breathing, nature is growing and everything is sustained by His self-existent life.

Many people struggle each and every day. People are broken with a lots of problems to deal with. It may be difficulties in their financial state, or family matters, or even a sudden death of a love ones. There are many things we can consider broken, but we should believe that very broken piece is possible to be restored by God.

Stand By Him

Regardless of what the enemy say or do, Jesus will be able to restore it because it is His will for us.  Jesus restores life. He takes all who are hurt and crushed, those who are trapped in despair and isolation, and He restores their life.

The Good In Waiting

People encounter challenges due to a lack of faith in Jesus to mend their brokenness. And,  sometimes people that feel they can no longer wait so long to deal with their problems, and that is when bad things happen instead of the good.

In our not-so-good situations, we should never overlook Jesus and let us remain focused on God’s Word because it always has the answer to our problems. Know that the enemy always wants to keep us lots on our focus and attempts to kill our peace, happiness and hope.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10

But Jesus has promised to restore us to the right relationship and let us experience abundant and eternal life.

When life throws us circumstances, we don’t need to accept it. Whatever issues we face in life, we must remember that it’s not always over. Our enemy will do anything to take us down, whether it’s our health, peace of mind or even someone that is very close to us. But God’s promises are concrete as a rock. He can restore the brokenness inside our hearts.

The Bible is full of stories of restoration, it may be a story about restoration faith, or hope but the most special is restoring of people's lives. Because once Jesus restores a person’s life, anyone will have faith, anyone will have joy. It’s like one of the most powerful miracle God ever created.

Every time there is a person that has been raised from the dead, it is a breathtaking miracle. It just shows us that God is the Source of all the Life and the only one who is capable of giving life even after death.

Jesus : From Death to Life

What is restoration? It is simply us returning an object into its original state.

But in the Bible, Jesus does not restore the broken, the sick or the hopeless. He restores a life, from being declared dead,  Jesus was and still is capable of performing this miracle to the person to be brought back to life.

The Lone Woman

God has chosen a weak and broken woman to be a part of something that would inspire people of faith down through all time. God choose to not only give her life but to declare through that woman that He indeed is the Resurrection and the Life.

In this resurrection, Jesus used one of his people to perform this act of miracle. Elijah, has been appointed by Jesus. When Elijah finally arrived, he made a few requests to the widowed woman.

So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, “Bring me a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.” And as she was going to bring it, he called to her and said, “Bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.” 1 King 17:10-11

Despite these requests, the woman does not hesitate to give Elijah what he needs.

After that, Elijah declared “As the LORD your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. And now I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it and die.” 1 King 17:21

Elijah stretched his hand to the dead boy “O LORD my God, let this child’s life come into him again.” He brought the boy to his mother and she said to Elijah “Now I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in your mouth is truth.” 1 King 17:24

As you can see in the story, the widow woman has an act of obedience regardless of the situation she was in. And that act gives her the greatest privilege of all time.

Faith Can Indeed Move Mountains

Another story of resurrection, in this account Jesus uses again one of his prophet, Elisha.

The women went up to Mount Carmel to bring his son. Without her husband knowing, she departed to Mount Carmel to find Elisha. When she found Elisha, she then pleaded with him to come with her to Shunem.

Elisha with his servant Gehazi, they went up to the upper room, closed the door and prayed. Then his arms stretched to the boy, he began to pray and the body began to warm. And the boy sneezes seven times and opened his eyes.

The Bible says, that if we have faith like a mustard seed, we can tell the mountains to move, and they will. The Shunammite’s son has been restored to life through Elisha, because of her faith and the power of confession.

When we encounter challenges, learn to confess that it is well and so it shall be. Always return to our source of happiness, love, strength, hope and inspiration, who is our Lord Jesus Christ. We should worship and pray to him as we go along to this journey of life and ministry together, just as the Shunammite woman did by going back to Elisha.

Restoring One Another

What is interesting about this topic is, that not only Jesus can restore someone or something. We the people can also help restore others brokenness. We can restore it when we live our lives glorifying His word and bringing  the good news to life. When we are a positive person, we can show the possibility to other people to live also in a positive perspective. Someone who lost a loved one, you the restore his hope or confidence and help the person to trust in God and life again.

Make Your Life Prosperous

A new life awaits in each and every one of us once when we entrust our lives to Jesus. We must always be true to ourselves and His word, walk a prosperous life, be focused to God and to never be distracted. We should not mock God and the unexpected things that is happening in the world. If we humble ourselves and pray, that’s when we will see his manifestation upon our lives.

Trust That Change Will Come

Bring yourself to His will, rest with Him, follow his commands and continue to have faith and believe in Him. And while all of us are waiting for the restoration of the world, let us not become wary but continue to pray and declare his great promises until we see the changes around us to greatness.
