Finding Your Joy

Jan 05, 2023

Introduction

Life is a journey and finding happiness can be a lifelong process. While this might sound like an obstacle to your happiness, it's actually the best news ever! The more time you spend on your journey and the more effort you put into finding joy, the closer you'll get to living your best life.

Step One: Get Feedback

It's important to recognize that there are many things in life that we take for granted. For example, if you live in a home with the people who love you and have provided shelter, food, and clothing, this is a blessing that you should be thankful for every day. If you have parents who care about your well-being and support your goals, they are another blessing. When we see others receiving these blessings as well as ourselves, it can help us find joy in our lives as well.

But not all of us have such loving families or supportive friends around us all the time. Many people struggle with depression or anxiety due to their circumstances or struggles in life; some may even be homeless! It's important to recognize the glory in others around us so that we can continue finding joy even when times are tough personally by focusing on what makes other people happy instead of what makes me happy (or unhappy).

Step Two: Transform your feedback into action steps.

Once you've received feedback from the people you trust, it's time to create action steps. Take the time to write these down and prioritize them by importance. Use your journal or a note-taking app on your phone to keep track of what you need to do next in order for this goal to come true. The steps might be as simple as "start going back to church" or they might need more detail like "find a church that is accepting," but make sure that each step is actionable and achievable (you shouldn't have any doubts about whether or not it should be done).

Step Three: Plan your ideal day.

Plan your ideal day:

  • Make a list of things you want to do.
  • Write down the things that make you happy, even if they seem small, like eating lunch with a friend or taking a walk through the park.
  • Make sure it's realistic—don't forget to include time for sleep and relaxation.

It's important to keep improving and make small changes in your life until you find your bliss.

  • You can’t be happy all the time, but you can be content.
  • You need to find what makes you happy and what brings you joy.
  • It's important to keep improving and make small changes in your life until you find your bliss.

Conclusion

With this in mind, we hope that you’ll take the time to reflect on your own life and identify your unique joy. We know that it can be difficult to make big changes, but if our tips help you find even one small thing that brings you more joy each day—and then inspires you to keep going—then they’re worth it!
