We’re all human. We judge people based on what we see, by a person’s clothing or sometimes just their skin color or maybe just the way they talked. And that is already not a good judgement and we end up hurting someone even without knowing or understanding them first. Take a minute to think before you speak. It's not always easy, but with all the negative words out there we need to start being more mindful of our actions.

It's okay to feel insecure about yourself. But you should never allow it to affect your relationships and how you feel about yourself, which leads to bad judgments from others.

Don’t judge if you do not want to be judge

In Matthew 7:1-2 says “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you“. Everyone is different. We have our own strengths, weaknesses and experiences that make us who we are. Don't judge others just as you would like them to judge you. You are beautiful just the way you are!

We live in a world where everyone is judged and it can be a very bad thing. Let's all remember to be the kinder and more loving person, that we can be so that eventually our actions will reflect in the way others treat us too.

There are people you meet who seem to be deeply troubled, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have it all together. Everyone goes through ups and downs in life, just let them know you care about them.

Think Before You Speak

Always think before you speak, and always think about the effect of your words first. No one person is perfect. Everyone has a flaw in their life, so don't judge someone just because they have a different view from you. James 1:19 says ‘’My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry’’.

Practice Positive Affirmation

It is such a great feeling when someone has encouraged you in a very delighted manner. Positive affirmations or acknowledgement are always better than bad judgement.

‘’Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.’’ Ephesians 4:29

Every day we are surrounded by people who are better than us at something. The more we let them go about their business, the more likely it is that we will be as awesome as they are.

Know Your Place

You should never make a judgement before you get to know someone, family members or friends. It’s easy to be blinded by something we see as wrong but it is not easy to accept someone that we don’t understand and therefore do not conform to our standards. 

‘’Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.’’ Proverbs 27:6

If you find yourself making a bad impression on someone, it is important that you learn what they want and what they don’t want.

Have Confidence Within Yourself

Confidence is a word that’s all about doing things you never thought you could do. So if you have any worries or doubts in yourself, just start thinking positively and make the best decisions for your life.

‘’My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion’’. Proverbs 3:21

Judgment-Free

The reality is that no one can see what is in your heart. No one can read your mind. We are all guilty of making assumptions, judgments and assumptions. It's up to us to change our perspective and make better choices.

Always remember to be careful in your words and actions, as it will always make you look your best.

We all make judgments, but the truth is, there’s always more to a person than we see. So before you judge someone else, think about how you would feel if someone were judging you.
