How God Helped Me Build A Courageous Mindset

May 03, 2023

The feeling of bravery is a rewarding feeling. The story we tell ourselves about our lives is how we can overcome adversity and be happy. It's not just what you do, it's why you do it.

When you’re a kid, the thought of being strong enough to slay dragons is intimidating. It can feel more like an imaginary story than reality. But growing up, we’re all given a different experience that has us finding our strength in different ways.

We’re all scared of something. It could be the unknown, your health or finances, or even losing a loved one. But you have to muster up the courage to face your fears.

You are not alone. God knows your heart and is mindful of every fear you have, no matter how small it may seem to be. He is with you through the good times, bad times, and everything in between.

Trust that God has a plan for every situation, every challenge and obstacle. Relax. He is always at work in your life, improving and perfecting you

Fear is a natural reaction to danger or uncertainty. But fear has the power to paralyze, and it can keep you from doing what you know God wants you to do.

We all have fears. Here are some ways to face them head on and conquer them.

  1. Let the promise of God’s word be your guide

The Bible is our sword and it’s always good to have it handy whenever we feel under attack. We’re not about to be silenced by those who would try to control our lives, so let’s read and study together. Let's take our stand on truth, courageously proclaim the gospel, and be salt and light in this world.

  1. Be Consistent in Prayer

When you talk to God, you can feel held by an invisible hand that calms your fears and helps you stay connected to the one thing that matters. Always open up your heart and speak to God. He will always listen, and he loves to hear from you.

  1. Remember that God is faithful- always faithful.

God is faithful—always protecting, always providing. On the other hand, we’re not faithful to Him. We let our faithfulness waiver. But He doesn't care if we're late or missing regular offerings. He has patience and longsuffering for His children!

Sometimes life is scary and there are things that scare us. But, the key is to remember that we have all the power to choose how we will react to fear. We don’t have to be scared or act selfishly or turn away from God. He has everything under control and no matter what happens, He is with us through it all.
