Give Thanks In Every Circumstances

It is very easy to be thankful especially in the good times that we have in life, but when we are in the midst our trial, we often forget to be thankful and we are unhappy or downhearted that it is very difficult for us to grateful. But Jesus has thought us that we should be give thanks in whatever situation we encounter, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says ‘’Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.’’

People tend to complain more in life rather than being thankful and that is one reason at some point it leads them to downfall. Being thankful has its benefits too, and yes, even at our hardest situation because will help lighten the load we are carrying.

Remember that when we have a grateful heart, it also means that we are satisfied on what status you currently living on. It will make you live more simply as you will not seek more things because you are contented and happy and grateful on thing you already have and you enjoy and care for them.

But there is always a challenge that comes on our way. In this time there is a lot of temptation or distractions that makes us be discontent. One sample is that whenever there is a latest product, like cellphone or signature handbags, instead of being thankful on what we already possess, we tend to seek more and that will affect our gratefulness in life.

Appreciate Little Things

Thankfulness helps us rid negative feeling or emotions. It helps us appreciate more on the things that is not bought, but simply waking up in the morning, the sun rays over us and we are still alive. We shall practice being thankful even in the simplest things we have. You have to avoid putting your happiness on things that you think can make you feel much better.

People now a days are very busy, making a living and doing sort of thing that they tend to forget to give a simple thank. Being thankful will not take much of our time and the good news it is absolutely FREE! We can also do it anywhere we are.

Come to think of it, being grateful creates a domino effect, just like when you are thinking negatively. Like when you first wake up in the morning your already mad, it all comes along throughout the day. But what if you replace that negativity with gratefulness, good things will happen.

There is Always Something to Be Thankful For

Being ungrateful means that we never understand things that are actually given by God. We often complain rather than be thankful and tend to miss blessings that God is presenting to us. Remember that God always give us something to be thankful for and if we just know how to use, greater things will come along the way.

There are many ways we can do for us to be thankful, but we are just going to share six key lessons we can apply so we can simply live with it;

Start The Day by Thankfulness

As we pray we always thank God for the new day that has come, but you may try adding giving thanks to whoever or whatever you’re grateful for. By simply doing this, it will make huge difference to you.

Psalms 107:1 ‘’Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.’’

There are times that things might not go on our way, but God is always there to guide us although out and His love for us is everlasting.

Acknowledge Negative Things in Your Life

Learn that we do not just need to be thanking all positive things that happened to us, but also things that we might think of something negative— the difficulties, pain and suffering. Being thankful for such things will remind us that there is always great thing in everything we encounter in life and such gratitude will make us feel more ease. It is also an opportunity for us to grow more.

Philippians 4:6 ‘’Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.’’

No one is exempted in facing trials, but the good news is that God has always prepared something for us to find the answer in our darkest times. Having to embrace those with thankfulness might help us get through it.

Be Thankful in Small Things

Nowadays we need to be contented on things we already possessed and avoid looking for more. This will lead us to living in much simpler life as we do not seek to much just to get the happiness and contentment for you to be able to be thankful for.

1 Corinthians 1:4 ‘’I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.’’

Simple things may include those that your do, for example eating a bread, you are able to walk and read, do your hobbies like stitching or whatever it is that makes you happy in the simplest form.

Less is More

In your hard times, you should acknowledge things that you have rather than being stubborn. Imagine that there is a lot of people who have less but is more thankful than you do. Many people are struggling every day to find food to wat or water to drink, or don’t have a home to sleep through the night and yet they still have something to be thankful for. And this are big factors that you need to consider.

Create Opportunities to Be More Thankful

Rather than just sitting in the couch all day or watching television or even just browse in the internet all day, why not do something fun for yourselves. It doesn’t have to be always expensive but at least try something new and you might discover many wonderful thanks that will also help you to be more thankful. The opportunities are limitless. So go thru your comfort zone and find things that will make you more grateful than ever.

Spread It!

One thing for sure that when we are thankful, other people will notice that and you’ll be able to pass it on.  Try looking for special thing a person is doing and be appreciative and they will also start to feel thankful in what they do.

Discover Something Yourself

These lessons are not the only thing you need to living a simpler life. The best lessons are always the one you discover yourself.  Try it out and see for yourself, and you’ll be able to find out the beauty of it in your life.

In life we must always know that it’s not happiness that makes us thankful but it is being thankful that gives the happiness to us and with that, it will lead us to a more content and simpler life.
