The Way God Sees Us

I woke up this morning and I was shocked to see a new wrinkle and maybe even a gray hair. I critiqued myself as I got myself ready for the day and then a thought occurred to me. If I am criticizing myself, then in a way, I am criticizing God's handiwork.

He created me, I am who I am and where I am to serve His mighty purpose. That wrinkle, and that gray hair that I just plucked, are all part of how GOD MADE ME… why am I so harsh with myself? I know I am not alone in this struggle…

Aren’t we all so happy that God sees us differently than we see ourselves?  God has made us PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL! We were created in His image after all, what is more beautiful than that?

I think women in general struggle with an internal feeling of inadequacy. We give of ourselves until we have nothing left to give and we struggle in silence. We don’t want to burden anyone with our stresses, so instead we choose to carry the weight of the world alone.   We go into each day on autopilot, going through the motions: doing whatever we have to do just to make it to tomorrow.

Beautiful woman, God’s incredible creation, God’s masterpiece- Please hear me…

That is not how God is calling us to live.

We are NOT ALONE ladies, not even close. He wants us to live in JOY. He wants us to come to Him and let go of what weighs us down. He wants so much more for us than to just live on auto pilot. He wants us to live for Him and calls us for a purpose.

I want to touch on some of God’s promises for us.

Jeremiah 29:11 ““For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the LORD, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future!”“

WOW! Take a deep breath and read that again. The Lord DECLARES his plans to prosper and not to harm. He doesn’t just SAY it ladies - He DECLARES it! He promises us hope and a future. Take that in for a minute. Sometimes it is hard to believe, with all the weight we carry, all the suffering…

James 1: 2-3 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance!”

The Trials we suffer – he doesn’t cause them, but he allows them. They build character and teach us. He loves us through each one.

Romans 8: 28 “And we know that in all things God Works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”

He will use the things that Satan means for evil, turns them around and use them for good. So it may not feel good right now… but we need to keep faith! Believe he will use it for good… because he will!

Luke 1:45 “Blessed is she who has believed that the LORD would fulfill his promises to her!”

He promises to bless us when we believe in his promises. Ladies- He will keep his word! God wants us to experience unending joy, to find happiness in the simplest of things; to wake each day, sing praise, be grateful and know the day is His. Let him work ladies! Turn off the auto pilot. Wake up, dedicate all you do to God and let him do a mighty work in your life!

 In Closing

I challenge you this month to wake up every day and live on purpose. Start with giving thanks. Praise him for the good in your life and stay focused on the good through the day. Every time something goes right- PRAISE JESUS! Give God the glory ladies. Thank him for every little thing. No matter how small. Don’t leave room for the negative energy that Satan uses to destroy us. Stay focused on the blessings and he will bless you even more! Added bonus: you will be more of a blessing to those around you as well.  Take our FREE 7 day mini course Count Your Blessings.
